Welcome to Common Threads!

I have always loved the fiber arts! I spent my career as an educator, but my passion has always been the fiber arts since I was nine years old. I even had that story published in Highlights for Children magazine years ago about learning to knit saved me. I’ve spent much, if not most, of my free time knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, quilting, weaving, or felting. I’ve taught countless people how to knit or crochet. I’ve started clubs at schools and universities to use fiber arts for service.

I’ve connected enthusiasts to using their craft to serve either their local of global communities. Those are the Threads that Bind! I hope to continue to connect you to others all over the world who will benefit from you using your gifts and talents to serve. Check out the Threads that Bind page for opportunities.

I also sell at craft markets my own creations in a way to spread the fiber love. My future goal is to start a mobile yarn shop that will travel to support your yarn addiction! I also hope to breed angora rabbits and create my own brand of yarn. That is all still to come. For now, let’s focus on building connection and sharing creations that shine through our Common Threads!
